Buzzing through the Spizter chronicles this am, I was struck with an ethical question.
Why is this legal?
Taking out an ad in a newspaper for nude women. Then paying a woman for sex and videotaping it. Then selling said solicited sex as porn. (Not that I know anything about making a porno…)
And this illegal?
Taking out an ad in a newspaper for nude women. Then offering paying a women for sex, but privately, with no cameras allowed.
So, as long as I’m further exploiting my paid sex as “pornography” I’m all good?

I’m Raven. I get paid for sex and am rich bitch!

I’m a crack head. I get paid for sex in between jail terms.
Lucky for us, 2005 National Book Award winner William T Vollmann had sex with a million hookers, smoked some rocks, and figured it all out.

This book’s first sentence…:
We all the story of the whore who, finding her China white to be less and less reliable a friend no matter how much she boosted in her arm, recalled in desperation the phrase “shoot the shit,” and so filled the needle with watery excrement and pumped it in, producing magnificent abscesses.
is uplifting literature.

I’d say this has to do with the “bedroom morals” of America. If a man gets caught by his wife stroking, it’s the couch for a night and probably the worst talk of his life, (though most grown men should have 20+ years of experience in Masturbatory Covert Ops and should not get caught). If a dude gets caught with a ‘tute, his marriage is over, as is his reputation in whatever community he swims.
The law has little or nothing to do with the ethical similarities or differences, (much less the health and safety), of those women employed in the two different arenas of sex-work. One is illegal, because of the more overt danger it poses to the maintenance of the domestic status quo, the other is tolerated because it can be hid under mattresses, and by clearing the history from your web browser.

It should be illegal for a chick to kick you out of bed from meat beating! AIDS ravaged to porn industry in the 80s and 90s (RIP John Holmes: WE WILL NEVER FUGGIT). And Nevada’s legal ‘tute industry is regulated like porn is now. But the fact remains: I can legally pay someone to have sex on video but if the camera is off it’s illegal.

Well, keep those cameras rolling.
I’ll be psyched if Spitzer’s press conference today is actually his unveiling of his Porno movie, his evasion of charges or resignment via said legal loophole, and his securing of that Super Delegate for Clinton.

Let’s talk about the more important issue (for me): why are alcohol and cigarettes legal, but not pot?
And Azy — you got thrown on the couch for jerking off?

Hahah. E Mess’ resignation speech revealed: “What you fail to realize, New York, is that this was all a film production for Spitzer or Swallow? Volumes 1-36. I am moving into a new field. Oh, my book auction begins now and starts at $7 million…Knopf, do I hear 7.5 million?”

Mac, alc and cigs are two different things. Paying for sex is one thing, legal w camera and for profit, illegal for pleasure.
March 12th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
but are alcohol and pot two different things?
i’m just pointing out that most of these laws are illogical and seem arbitrary, anyway.

Similarly, you can do various drugs and be paid as part of medical research, (Actually, I am just getting that info from “Half Baked” and have no idea if it happens in real life).
Mac, never been couched, like I said, I have my Clandestine ‘Bation tactics perfected.
Sucks, http://www.spitzerswallow.com is already registered…

One is a liquid the other is a green plant. Paying for sex is a cash transaction for one thing. It’s legal to do it and film it, but no privately. Is that arbitrary or contradictory?
AZY, buy spitzerorwallow.org NOW!!!

> Is that arbitrary or contradictory?
Probably both.
March 12th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
legalize it all! if they get enough of it, no man will ever have to jerk it again! by the way, I don’t personally know any woman that would get mad at her man for the jerks. If anything, their like, sweet, one less fuckin thing I have to do today.

[...] in the fallout of WhoreGate last week, I wondered why it’s legal to pay for sex in front of a camera for profit (porn) but illegal to do so [...]
