CNN’s legal analyst, Jeffrey Toobin, just called McCain’s speech “awful” and “pathetic” and I couldn’t agree more. Standing in front of signs that said “change we can believe in,” McCain tried to tout his credentials and his “record” while suggesting that Obama wants to follow failed policies and can’t be trusted to lead. It was a dud. Even the crowd seemed like they weren’t really into it, and if this is the way he’s planning to campaign, then he might as well quit now. Really, it was pretty bad.

what is he running for? city council? there were like 30 people at his speech. i could scare up a larger crowd tonight than mccain did.

Haha…city council, indeed. It’ll be interesting to see how the Excel center sounds at the RNC. I bet it’s not nearly as loud as it was tonight for Obama.
