Did we find the new REAL pro deck prototype?
If you’ve seen our last post, you know that a friend of ours acquired a nearly brand new skateboard at a bar on friday in San Francisco. We purchased that skateboard from him (at a nice price) and later found out it was once in the hands of Mic E Reyes.
After reaching out to the Deluxe guys on Twitter and doing a little research, we started to think this board might be something special. We checked the Deluxe catalog and even though there’s a ton of stickers covering the graphic, there’s not really any graphic like this one in there.
We made a video here of Kyle showing the board and pointing out a few details here:
There seems to be an oval like this Justin Brock but it has these stars on the nose that look like they’re on a flag. One of our crew here started doing research to figure out which countries had stars on their flags and guess what’s at the top of the list? AUSTRALIA. I wonder who’s from there?

I guarantee it’s Chima! You can see that the first letter has a square upper left corner – like an “F” – and the second letter has a square lower left corner and straight vertical line making up the left side – like an “E”.

just looking at the flag, australia has 5 stars. there should be an extra star on the right between the right star and the bottom star. Where as New Zealand, does not have the extra star. could be New Zealand?

It’s a parody of the damn iPhone flap from last week, not a publicity stunt. As a matter of fact, many have claimed that the iPhone thing last week was a publicity stunt. So that would make this a parody of a publicity stunt. In other words they are making fun of a publicity stunt, not perpetrating one. Skate companies have used corporations / logos / pop culture references for years to generate entertainment via board graphics, videos, etc. How is this any different. Don’t be such a hater.
