BAD-KITTYS / BEAUTY BAR Tour
Diagnosis: Beauty Bar needed an innovative way to support their newly launched Blog and online store.
Treatment: Medicine Agency created The ‘Bad-Kittys Take Over Beauty Bar Tour.’ The tour featured a release of a limited edition shirt on Beauty Bar Collection featuring model/internet celebrity, Audrey Kitching, as well as Rony Alwin’s traveling ‘photobooth’ with custom photo backdrop to document the entire tour.
BEAUTY BAR Collection
Diagnosis: Paul Devitt, owner of Beauty Bar, the vintage style ‘hipster’ cocktail lounge chain, with outposts in six major US markets, was looking to expand his already established brand of over ten years into the fashion world.
Treatment: Medicine Agency created the Beauty Bar Collection, partnering with top independent clothing designers, retail boutiques & fashion icons in order to receive key press coverage and establish new income streams of merchandise sales both in-stores & online. The collection was also licensed internationally to various international chain stores.
HEAVY METAL IN BAGHDAD Film Screening
Diagnosis: Vice Films was looking to promote the release of their latest full-length feature film, Heavy Metal In Baghdad.
Treatment: Medicine Agency secured a partnership with Beauty Bar Hollywood and Las Vegas, designed & distributed posters and flyers to top retail spaces (Amoeba Records, Huf, The Hundreds, Joyrich, Barracuda, Headline Records, Canvas Tattoo, Turntable Lab, And Still, & more), and created a custom “Heavy Metal In Baghdad” banner that was used by photographer Rony Alwin as a backdrop for documenting the event.
BEAUTY BAR Blog
Diagnosis: Beauty Bar wanted a way to unite all six of their domestic locations and drive sales to their online store.
Treatment: Medicine Agency launched a blog to establish a greater online presence with content and news from all six Beauty Bar locations which have a history of holding events featuring the world’s most up and coming bands and DJs. Meds also set up a series of events including the Bad-Kittys “Take Over Beauty Bar Tour” featuring Audrey Kitching and Dj Skeet Skeet and film screenings of ‘Heavy Metal In Baghdad’ for Vice Films to create exclusive content for the blog.
